We are Richie and Caitlin, the husband and wife duo behind We Deux Farm. We come from complicated family dynamics, so we skipped the big wedding and eloped. The trouble was finding everything we wanted in one place: an officiant, a witness, somewhere to stay, and a beautiful place to marry. We pieced it together ourselves, married on our own terms, and celebrated with our people afterward in the most laid back way. It was the best decision we ever made.

Now we are on a mission to give other couples that same freedom, with all the guesswork taken out. Our little slice of heaven in the Grass Valley foothills is made for couples who crave something private and peaceful, far from the noise of a traditional wedding.

Picture it: your wedding day, unhurried and overflowing with love. You arrive to pastures, wildflowers, furry farm friends, and a quiet that feels like magic. You get ready at your own pace. Your photographer captures the sweetest moments, maybe a first look or getting ready together, with the pond, the trees, or the blooms as your backdrop.

When the moment comes, our officiant guides you through a heartfelt ceremony written around your love story. Vows are exchanged, the toast is poured, and you simply soak it in. Afterward, wander the property, spend a little extra time with the animals, and head out to your dinner reservation. Then come home to roast marshmallows by the fire, watch a movie under the stars, and rest.

Big love does not need a big crowd. Just you two, and a day to remember forever.

We sit on 9 rolling acres in the countryside of Grass Valley. The air is clear, the grass is green, and a spring fed pond anchors the land. Our goats, cows, livestock guardian dogs, and barn cats each have a job here: grazing the brush, guarding the herd, and keeping the pests in check.

Surrounding the farmhouse are old growth trees and rolling pastures. Inside, the fully renovated blue Victorian farmhouse holds a stocked tea apothecary, a hidden indoor sauna, and a full library. And come summer 2026, newlywed soaking tubs will overlook the pond for evening star gazing.

We are building this land into a full permaculture haven, with native plants and sustainable practices, a little more every season.
